Effective January 1, 2024, the Milwaukee County sales and use tax rate increased from 0.5% to 0.9% and the city of Milwaukee imposed a new 2% sales and use tax.

Be sure to contact your DMS provider to confirm these tax rate changes have been implemented in your software.  The increases will result in significant tax hikes in automobile sales.  Additionally, the tax being imposed on just the City of Milwaukee is a new concept in Wisconsin where sales taxes are typically set at the county level and will likely require additional programming.

The DigitalDashboard DMS has already been updated to reflect these changes and the new tax rates will be automatically applied to any new deals.
